Voting in Person with a Vote-By-Mail Ballot

If you have a vote-by-mail ballot but would rather vote in person on Election Day or during the early voting period, you can! Bring your vote-by-mail ballot to your polling place and return your vote-by-mail ballot to a poll worker. The poll worker will cancel your vote-by-mail ballot and give you an in-person ballot in order to vote at the polling place.

If you opt to vote in person instead of using your vote-by-mail ballot, it is required that you bring your vote-by-mail ballot with you to the polling precinct for the poll worker to verify the vote-by-mail ballot has not been cast. If you do not bring your vote-by-mail ballot to the polling precinct and the poll worker is unable to verify it has not been cast you may have to complete a provisional ballot on Election Day

It is important to note —  should you decide to vote in person — you should vote at your correct polling precinct based on your primary residence. If you vote at an alternate polling precinct you will be required to submit a provisional ballot.
